We recently listed FIVE of the most influential books in regards to Life Coaching.
You can click here to check out that important list.
One of the books that we mentioned is The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is…
- Needing to develop solid client relationships
- Wanting to get “unstuck”
- Aspiring to rise above their competitors and stand out by bringing more value
This is a book that can help you as a coach… as you establish your own coaching practice. Plus, it can help you to give guidance to your coaching “allies” (our word for clients) as they are trying to bring more value and reap the rewards of doing so!
Well, recently, I had the honor of interviewing one of the authors, Bob Burg. I did this for our BIG Dream Gathering podcast.
It was such a great interview and Bob brought so many great insights… I thought I would also feature it here too!
So I invite you to check out these words of wisdom from Bob as he walks us through two of the key Laws of Stratospheric Success offered in the book!

I have truly been inspired to follow my passion of helping others, redirect their thinking. By simply giving them a new perspective. It is hard to sometimes find your purpose in the midst of everyday routine. But as the scripture says ” Seek me and you will find; Hold My hand in a childlike trust, and the way before you will open up step by step. My Purpose, has been my shadow, with me all along. And now with your tools that you made available. I will start my journey as LIFE COACH:)
Thank You……for being you.

Thanks Mitch for the opportunity to listen in on your interview with Bob Burg. I have read the “Go Giver” and loaned it out to someone; guess I’ll have to get another!
I have to admit that I have a personal struggle with both of the principles you talked about today. To learn something and believe it is not always as simple to do as a person would think. To believe that I truly am enough is really a stretch for me. I have been successful in my career, but even so am still left with the feeling that “it wasn’t quite enough – or it could have been better” those kinds of thoughts are what I have to chase away from my thought process. It’s just something I have to continue working on. I had forgotten about the Go Giver principles in all honesty – but it’s good to be reminded because I’m all about continually striving to better myself.
The other principle of being receptive to others willingness to give is also very difficult for me. I was expected to take on a lot of responsibility as a child at home and I came away from that as a very independent woman – not a bad thing. However, when someone is willing to offer me something, I feel like
I owe them something back rather than graciously accepting. It’s the awareness that I do this though that helps – and I’ll just keep plugging away at it.
Thanks again,
